This week on Boston sports radio shows, Patriots QB Tom Brady has been getting ripped over the airwaves by disgruntled listeners for his decision to skip the teams’ voluntary offseason workout program.
Perhaps, after making a quick – and disgraceful – first round exit from the playoffs last year vs. Baltimore, fans want to see more from their franchise quarterback, including a greater commitment toward the upcoming season.
Fear not Patriots fans. There’s no need to become turncoats toward Tom. It appears that Brady is already hard at work getting himself into game shape, creating his own voluntary training regimen – which apparently now involves the sport of Boxing.
The Blog site Faded Youth revealed photos of Brady working out Friday at a boxing club in Los Angeles, where he currently lives during the offseason with wife Gisele and newborn son Benjamin.
Despite taking a pass on the team’s voluntary workouts, I think it’s fair to say that Brady – a consummate professional on the field and off – will be more prepared than ever to lay a beating on his opponents when the actual season starts just under six months from now.







I’m looking for big things out of Brady this year. The photos are a little scary though. Not sure I would have recognized Brady if you didn’t point out that’s who it was. It would be nice to see him win one more later in his career to cement his legacy… although it’s debatable he needs to add anything to the resume at all. Hey TSJ, I would like to see a Top 10 NFL quarterbacks of all time. That would be a tough list to create.
A tough list indeed – the toughest part is figuring out the top 3 from a group that includes… Montana, Elway, Brady, Manning, Bradshaw, Aikman, Favre, Marino – and of course, Boomer
