TSJ’s Video Vault – Green Men Invade NHL Playoffs & Brutal Hit In Aussie Rules

You think the Los Angeles Kings need any more incentive to stay out of the ’sin bin’? During Thursday night’s Game 1 OT loss to the Vancouver Canucks, the infamous ‘Green Men’ at GM Place – wearing nothing but full body green leotards – decided to get in on the action last night whenever a member of the Kings took a seat in the penalty box. Good to see the arena’s ushering staff are working hard to keep the aisles clear. Bang up job, fellas.

TSJ’s next selection comes to us from ‘Down Under’, from an Australian Football League match between the Western Bulldogs and the Hawthorn Hawks. An unsuspecting Jordan Lewis went up to catch the ball – but came down with a major concussion. More incredibly was the fact Lewis actually returned to the game for a brief time later on. Gotta hand it to those old school Aussies – I’m sure the trainers concluded Lewis must’ve just had his ‘bell rung’.

In light of the Lewis hit, AFL Commissioner Andrew Demetriou has apparently reached out to the NHL about how to effectively remove headshots from their game. He’s still awaiting a response.
