Pirates Pitcher Chris Jakubauskas Has Injury Added To Insult
It’s tough enough being a pitcher on the Pittsburgh Pirates on a good day. But Sunday provided one of the most inauspicious beginnings ever for Pirates starting pitcher Chris Jakubauskas. In the very first inning of his Pirates debut, Jakubauskas took a wicked line drive off the bat of Astros’ Lance Berkman, striking the defenseless pitcher in the head behind the right ear. Dizziness and headaches ensued, landing the right-hander on the 15-day DL with a concussion and head contusion.

With the Heat hanging on for dear life down 3-0 in their opening round series vs. the Celtics, Dwyane Wade took matters into his own hands in Sunday’s Game 4 – scoring 46 points – including this emphatic jam over KG. Perhaps a case of too little too late for Miami – but man, next to LeBron, there’s nobody who elevates and powers down a dunk quite as angrily as D-Wade. Enjoy him while you can, Heat fans. Cause after this, he’s as good as gone.
