Here’s living proof that celebrity isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be.

Tito Ortiz Holds Press Conference To Deny Domestic Violence Allegations, Accuses Jenna Jameson Of Drug Use

Following Monday’s shocking arrest for alleged domestic assault against girlfriend Jenna Jameson, a tearful Tito Ortiz – who was released from prison after posting $25,000 bail – held a press conference later Monday night with his attorney, Chip Matthews, to categorically deny the allegations that the former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion hit his wife, instead revealing that Monday’s altercation at their Huntington Beach home stemmed from Jameson’s on-going addiction to the painkiller Oxycontin.

Jenna Jameson Denies Oxycontin Addiction, Claims Tito Ortiz is ‘Desperate’

In what is turning into an ugly “he said, she said’ back-and-forth ordeal, Jameson revealed to TMZ.com that the allegations by Ortiz that she’s addicted to painkillers is ‘completely false’, while Jameson also added the confrontation with Ortiz occurred after she “said something very hurtful to his ego.” She alleges Ortiz then grabbed her and, “threw me into the bathtub and tore two ligaments in my shoulder.”

According to KCAL-TV, Jameson suffered a torn rotator cuff in the scuffle and has filed a temporary restraining order against Tito. Jameson added,“he didn’t beat me. We had an argument, and it escalated, and things got out of control … the cops were called, and because there were visible marks on me, they took him to jail. I know I did the right thing, and after watching what happened to Rihanna, I knew that I had to call the police. I’m just going to work on my relationship with him, and hope it works out.”

Here’s Jameson’s interview with reporters Monday night, who referred to Ortiz as a ‘wife-beater’, after being informed that he publicly revealed that she has an addiction to Oxycontin.

Dana White: UFC Could Cut Tito Ortiz If Charges Prove Legit

In another exclusive interview with TMZ.com, UFC President Dana White suggested that the organization could cut Ortiz if the domestic violence charges stick. “Other than going on a killing spree, being accused of domestic violence is the worst thing you can have going for you,” White says.

Tito Ortiz vs. Jenna Jameson – Who do you believe?

I must say that this story saddens me a great deal. As the former MMA Producer for Rogers Sportsnet, I’ve had the opportunity to work together with Ortiz on a number of various projects, including spending an entire day together as a guest at his second home in Big Bear, California. Ortiz always presented himself as the consummate professional and seemed to go out of his way to protect Jenna from the hoards of media that he attracted through MMA. In our interview, Tito professed his profound love of Jenna – affectionately referring to her as ‘his best friend and soulmate’.

My experiences with Ortiz by no means offers any real or truthful indication of whether Ortiz is guilty or not of the allegations charged against him by Jameson. But it does, in TSJ’s humble opinion, speak greatly about his character. And of the dozens of MMA fighters I’ve met in my travels, it’s Ortiz’s character – the quality person away from the Octagon – which I hold in the very highest regard.

TSJ wants to know – following the events of the past 24 hours, who do you believe?
